People Data Labs (PDL) is a B2B data provider that aggregates, cleans and resolves public and licensed signals into three datasets - Person Data, Company Data and Job Posting Data - and sells access to them through REST enrichment/search APIs, flat-file data licences, and Snowflake/Databricks data sharing. PDL states it does not sell a CRM, ATS or sales-engagement product; it sells the data layer underneath those applications.
PDL is a data vendor rather than an application. The unit of purchase is a record or a feed: you send identifiers you already hold and get back a resolved profile, or you query the corpus by attribute and get back matches. Access also runs sideways out of the API: the vendor's integrations page lists Snowflake, Databricks, Salesforce, Zapier, Make, Ping Identity and Bouncer.
Teams building a data product rather than using one: HR tech, sales and marketing platforms, and investment-research firms that need person, company or job-posting records under their own application, plus AI teams grounding models in structured information about the working world.
PDL is deliberately not an end-user tool - the vendor's own LLM guide states it provides no CRM, ATS or sales-engagement product - so a sales team that wants to click a button and see enriched contacts in a familiar UI is buying a component, not a workflow, and will need either engineering effort or one of the no-code bridges (Zapier, Make) plus a destination system. Flat-file/data-licence access is routed through "connect with a member of our team" rather than self-serve, so buyers who need bulk delivery rather than per-record API calls cannot start without a sales conversation.
No curated rival set covers this tool yet, so these are simply other tools in the same architectural layer and product form. Treat it as a starting point, not a shortlist.
Yes.
The spec declares a single security scheme: an API key sent in the X-API-Key request header. No OAuth flow appears in the spec we retrieved.
Yes. The docs point new users to a free dashboard account and an API Playground inside the PDL Dashboard, described as a way to start testing "without writing a single line of code".
Records. PDL's own LLM reference guide states it does not sell to end consumers and does not provide a CRM, ATS or sales-engagement product; it sells the data layer that powers those applications.
No. The vendor lists data-licence flat files and Snowflake/Databricks data sharing alongside the REST APIs, and the integrations page names Salesforce, Zapier, Make, Ping Identity and Bouncer as no-code or platform routes.
The vendor's own summary describes a free tier, a Pro subscription and custom Enterprise contracts, but we have not seen the numbers; confirm with the vendor.
PDL ships dated release notes with dataset versions (e.g. v34.0 for April 2026) documenting field changes, freshness and coverage per release, and describes the job-posting dataset as refreshed daily.
That is a gap in our evidence, not a statement that none exists; confirm with the vendor.
This page tells you whether People Data Labs fits. Cheetah builds and runs the system it goes into — enrichment, sequencing, CRM and the joins between them.
