Octolane

Revenue Superintelligence - superintelligence for human judgment

Visit Octolane

Octolane is an AI-native CRM whose pitch is that agents do the CRM work: finding deals buried in the inbox, drafting and sending follow-ups, updating records, enriching contacts and identifying anonymous website visitors. Its first product is Octo Revenue, and the company frames the whole thing as accumulating and redeploying the judgement of experienced revenue teams. It positions itself as a replacement for HubSpot, Gong, Clay and Outreach together.

What is Octolane

Vendor's own claim

Octolane sells the CRM as something you talk to rather than something you maintain - its docs promise you can 'start running your CRM in plain English in 5 minutes'. The tier ladder is unusually legible because it is built around autonomy rather than feature count: Pro is 'AI-assisted' (agents draft, you approve and send), Business is 'AI-powered' (agents act, you supervise), Team is 'self-driving' (agents run multi-step workflows end to end), and Enterprise is 'AI-bespoke'. Around that sits a normal-looking CRM data model - records, pipelines, custom objects, automation - plus a developer surface with an MCP server aimed at Claude and Cursor.

Ideal customer profile

Vendor's own claim

Founder-led B2B sales teams and small revenue orgs who want the CRM maintained for them rather than by them - the docs' playbooks are explicitly for founder-led B2B teams - scaling up to revenue orgs wanting agents running multi-step workflows on every deal.

Who should look elsewhere

Our read

Octolane rations by AI credits on top of seats, and the allowances are small relative to the claim: Pro at $39/seat/mo includes $20/mo of AI credits and Business at $79/seat/mo includes $40/mo - for a product whose entire value proposition is agents doing the work, so heavy use means credit spend well beyond the sticker. The lower tiers are also materially limited in ways that matter for a system of record: Pro caps activity history search and reporting at 30 days and Business at 6 months, so historical pipeline analysis requires the Custom-priced Team tier. Pro is capped at 3 seats, 5 pipelines, 250K records and a single automation workflow, and it keeps the 'company brain' memory and playbooks personal rather than shared - which removes the team-knowledge benefit that is the product's stated reason to exist. Anyone needing agents to send autonomously, enrich, or capture web leads must be on Business or above. Note also that Octolane's own published pricing is internally inconsistent (see the FAQ), so confirm figures directly before budgeting.

Octolane FAQ

Octolane publishes two different price lists - which is right?

We retrieved a genuine contradiction and cannot resolve it. Octolane's pricing page lists Pro at $39/seat/mo, Business at $79/seat/mo, and custom-priced Team and Enterprise tiers. Its own llms.txt lists a different ladder entirely: Free at $0 (20 AI Activities, 50K records, 1 pipeline), Plus at $49/mo, Business at $99/mo, and Enterprise. The tiers we record above come from the pricing page, which is the vendor's own commercial page - but confirm with the vendor before budgeting, and note there may or may not be a free tier.

From official docs
What do the tiers actually change?

Agent autonomy. Pro is 'AI-assisted' - agents draft and you approve and send. Business is 'AI-powered' - agents send follow-ups, update the CRM, enrich and capture web leads while you supervise. Team is 'self-driving' - agents run multi-step workflows end to end. Enterprise is described as AI-bespoke and aimed at security and compliance requirements.

From official docs
How are AI credits handled?

Each tier includes a monthly credit allowance - $20/month on Pro, $40/month on Business, $300/month on Team - with limited-time bonus credits advertised on top ($50, $120 and $200 respectively). The pricing page does not publish what happens when you exhaust the allowance or what additional credits cost.

From official docs
How long is activity history retained?

It is a tier limit, and a tight one at the bottom: Pro allows searching and reporting on 30 days of activity history (emails, meetings, calls), Business 6 months, and Team and Enterprise have no limit. Meeting recording and transcription itself is unlimited on every tier.

From official docs
Does Octolane have an MCP server?

Yes. The documentation index lists 'MCP server for Claude and Cursor, REST API, webhooks, and Zapier' under 'Build with Octolane'. We did not retrieve the MCP page itself, so we cannot list the tools it exposes or how it authenticates.

From official docs
Can I migrate from my existing CRM?

Octolane lists migration from HubSpot, Attio and others as included from the Pro tier, and publishes a customer account describing a migration from Attio done with a single prompt - no CSV export or field mapping. That is the vendor's own case study, not something we verified.

Vendor's own claim
What happens to my data - is it used to train shared models?

The Enterprise tier lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, CCPA, HIPAA and GDPR, annual penetration testing and CASA certification for Google integrations. We retrieved these as claims on the marketing and pricing pages, not as certificates.

Vendor's own claim
What is the 'company brain'?

Octolane's term for memory built from every email, meeting and deal. The important commercial detail is that it is personal on Pro and pooled across all seats only on Business and above - so the 'picking up a teammate's deal feels like you'd worked it' benefit is a Business-tier feature.

Verify before you buy

  • Authentication scheme, endpoints, rate limits and MCP tool names
  • What additional AI credits cost once a tier's monthly allowance is exhausted
  • Whether the free tier described in Octolane's llms.txt still exists - the pricing page shows no free plan
  • Official social profiles (Twitter and LinkedIn URLs appear inside the llms.txt text but were not separately confirmed) and any official vendor video
  • A machine-readable OpenAPI specification was not included in the reviewed source set.
