Revenue OS
Open-source alternative to HubSpot Prospecting Agent, Artisan, 11x, and AI SDRs - with full customizability at a fraction of the cost.
Revenue OS is an open-source AI prospecting agent published on GitHub by the Personize team. It runs the outbound pipeline you would otherwise rent from an AI SDR vendor - connecting to any IMAP/SMTP mailbox, managing sender identities and warmup, coordinating outreach across email, LinkedIn and AI voice, and classifying and acting on replies - but as code you host and modify yourself. The repository is explicitly labelled Early Access, with the maintainers warning that APIs and configuration may change.
Vendor's own claim
What Revenue OS is
Vendor's own claimA self-hosted alternative to the managed AI SDR category, positioned directly against HubSpot's Prospecting Agent, Artisan and 11x. The maintainers' argument is ownership rather than features: their README frames incumbent tools as black boxes you cannot inspect, customise or leave, and offers the same pipeline as code you control. Treat the maturity signals honestly: at the time we checked, the repository showed 11 stars, 5 forks and 16 commits, and carried an Early Access warning.
What it can do
Vendor's own claim- Connect any email account over IMAP/SMTP - the README names Gmail, Outlook, ZapMail and Instantly - to read the inbox, send outreach and reply in-thread
- Sender profiles: stable sender identities with warmup ramp, health monitoring, lead assignment, and rotation when a sender burns out
- Account strategy: coordinates all contacts at one company, assigns senders, prevents simultaneous mass-contact of a single account, adjusts tone and blocks bad timing
- Reply handling: IMAP inbox monitoring, intent classification across channels, automatic action and team alerting
- Ships an .agents/skills directory in the repository alongside the TypeScript source
Who it is for
Vendor's own claimTechnical go-to-market teams and agencies who already object to AI SDR pricing and have the engineering capacity to run and modify a TypeScript codebase - the README's pitch is aimed squarely at buyers evaluating a $2,000 - $5,000/month managed tool who would rather own the pipeline.
When to choose something else
Our readThe repository states plainly that the project is under active development and that APIs and configuration may change - with 16 commits, 11 stars and 5 forks at the time we checked, this is early software, not a stable platform, and anyone who needs their outbound to simply keep working without engineering attention should not be running it. Non-technical sales teams have no product here at all - there is no hosted version we could find, no UI documented in what we retrieved, and no support channel other than the repository.
Implementation considerations
Our readSetup assessment: custom
Self-hosted open source with a dedicated SETUP-GUIDE.md in the repository. We did not retrieve the setup guide's contents, so we are not putting a number on it.
Prerequisites
- Engineering capacity to run and maintain a Node/TypeScript project
- An IMAP/SMTP email account to send and receive from
- For LinkedIn: HeyReach.
- Tolerance for breaking changes while the project is in Early Access
Verify before you adopt it
- The contents of the repository's SETUP-GUIDE.md, ROADMAP.md, UPGRADING.md, CONTRIBUTING.md and LICENSE - only the README was retrieved
- The contents of the .agents/skills directory, so the individual agent skills the project ships cannot be listed
- Any hosted or commercial offering, pricing, or support channel with an SLA
- Any API documentation or machine-readable specification for the project itself
- Published pricing was not available in the reviewed source set; confirm current commercial terms with the vendor.
