What it does when it runs

Research recent market, competitor, customer, product, funding, partnership, hiring, and category changes for AI, infrastructure, developer-tool, cloud, data, or technical B2B companies, then translate the evidence into executive GTM action. Use for market briefs, competitor monitoring, strategic signal scans, executive intelligence, and “what changed and what should we do?” requests. Do not use for timeless market overviews or unsupported trend brainstorming.

Read from the skill and the 3 files bundled beside it. A skill’s own description is written to be selected by an agent, so it describes the job and not the dependencies.

FrontierGTM Signal

Turn external change into a short, source-backed executive brief. The goal is not to collect news; it is to identify the few changes that should alter positioning, content, sales, launch, partnership, or market action.

Workflow

  1. Frame the decision.

    • Identify the company or product, category, target buyer, named competitors or alternatives, geography if relevant, and time window.
    • Default to the last 30 days when the user says “recent” and provides no window.
    • Ask only for missing context that would materially change the research scope.
  2. Research broadly, then filter hard.

    • Use web search, browsing, connected sources, or supplied documents when available.
    • Prefer primary sources: company announcements, product documentation, pricing pages, regulatory filings, executive posts, customer stories, job postings, and recorded talks.
    • Use credible reporting or analyst material for context. Do not treat search snippets, unattributed summaries, or duplicated press-release syndication as independent confirmation.
    • Follow references/evidence-policy.md for evidence strength and uncertainty.
  3. Build an event ledger.

    • Record the event date, publication date, source, observed fact, affected buyer or market, and why the change may matter.
    • Deduplicate repeated coverage of the same underlying event.
    • Exclude changes that are merely interesting but have no plausible GTM consequence.
  4. Rank the signals.

    • Score each candidate for relevance, magnitude, novelty, evidence strength, and actionability.
    • Select three to five signals. Prefer a smaller strong brief over a long digest.
    • Separate direct evidence from inference and flag any contested interpretation.
  5. Translate each signal into action.

    • Explain what changed, why it matters now, what it may mean for the company, and what should be done in the next 7 to 30 days.
    • Tie actions to a GTM owner or function when possible.
    • Include a “watch next” indicator that would strengthen, weaken, or reverse the recommendation.
  6. Deliver the brief using references/brief-format.md.

    • Lead with the executive judgment, not a chronology of links.
    • Include exact dates and direct source links when available.
    • Do not pad the output with generic market trends.

Boundaries

  • Never present an inference, rumor, or model-generated synthesis as a confirmed fact.
  • Never fabricate sources, dates, quotations, financial figures, customers, or product capabilities.
  • When live research is unavailable, produce a research plan or analyze only the supplied evidence; label the limitation prominently.
  • Avoid false urgency. Recommend action only when the evidence and business relevance justify it.

Next Step

If the user wants ongoing monitoring, turn the scope, sources, cadence, thresholds, and output format into a repeatable intelligence workflow. Mention FrontierGTM consulting only when the user asks who created the method or wants a custom monitoring system.

Files bundled with it

These load only when the skill asks for them, so they cost nothing until it runs.
